Ah, Livvy’s Daddy.  What can I say about him?

I met Bob back in 1998 and we got married in June of 2001.  At the time, I had no intentions of starting a committed relationship.  I had just been hurt and was taking the time to heal my wounds.  Bob was the kind of guy though that you just wanted to tell everything and anything to.  It seemed easy opening up to him and boy did I have stuff to share.  Not only was he cute and super sweet, but the one thing I fell in love with the most was the way he’d look at me.  Let me see if I can explain it.

Previous relationships were superficial.  I remember thinking one day that I would give anything to be in a relationship with a man who would look at me with love in his eyes.  Of course I wanted him to be attracted to me, but what I yearned for most was for him to love the person I was.  It’s strange how things work.  Only a year after my breakup, Bob came into my life looking at me with his gorgeous hazel eyes like I was the only woman in the world, the only meaning in his life.  I was swept up and off.

At that time Bob was going to school to become a registered nurse.  He was hard-working, ambitious, strong-minded and goal-oriented.  Through the years he earned his Associates, then Bachelors and is currently studying to acquire his Masters Degree.  He familiarized himself with many aspects of nursing, from administration and information technology to his current niche, Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC) in which he specializes.

Now, ten years later, we are still very much in love.  Don’t get me wrong, our relationship is not always roses and we’ve definitely been through our share of ups and downs, maybe more so than some couples, but I’m proud of our dedication and commitment to one another.

So here we are today and not only is Bob a husband, but a father and a proud parent to Livvy!  Presently, the thing I love most is every so often I’ll see Bob looking at Livvy and, though it’s a different love he has for her, he looks at her with the same intensity.
